Girls DIG the Evo...?

Let's just face it, majority of the girls do not know what they're looking at when they see an Evo.

Staring from a far distance, the car can be easily spotted with the slip of the eye. Perhaps the first thing they see is how different the car looks from all the other cars around it. The wide stance it has, with the front fenders bulging out to the side, and the metal teeth that grins from the intercooler vent in the front bumper. Yew, what is that? Then, they spot the gigantic park bench on the trunk spanning as wide as the car itself. The lines are edgy and sharp, and the car screams "get out of my way." No, definitely not cute.

Then if the girl has the chance to get up close and personal to one and sit in its Recaro racing seats, she usually complains about the stiff seats and wonder why you think the seat bolsters are so great while she still slides around in them.

The worst of all is when you try to explain to them that the car is an agile, robust, world rally racing machine, she is wondering why you would call a 4 door sedan a sports car.

Compare the looks of the car to the world of Supra, Skyline, Silvia, 350Z, G35, Sky, and even Eclipse's, the Evo is no where near the podium.

So, why did we buy the car? Well, I bought the Evo because of its awesome road holding All Wheel Drive capability, quick spooling and neck snapping turbo response, and the fact that most people who knows something about cars understands that this car is no ordinary grocery shopping, five adult transporting, baby carrying, daily driven car. Although...it does all of that above.

Best of all, I love taking the girls out for a fun run at the local autocross to see the expression on their face when they say "I didn't know cars can do this!"
